Cookie Time

Part one:
As a new mother I do not have any recipes of my own. For Thanksgiving we made wonderful sugar cookies. We spent a lot of time decorating them and writing thankful notes on them for our family. They loved them. We plan on doing something along those lines for Christmas also.

Part two:
I did not grow up with a cooking family tradition. I really want things to be different for my children. We spend about two weeks before Christmas watching old Christmas movies. We pull out the sleeper sofa and we cuddle together. It is a great time.

I want them to have a passion for making a house a home.

Part three:
Psalm 1 is where God has our family right now.

1 Happy are those
who do not follow the advice of the wicked,
or take the path that sinners tread,
or sit in the seat of scoffers;
2 but their delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law they meditate day and night.
3 They are like trees
planted by streams of water,
which yield their fruit in its season,
and their leaves do not wither.
In all that they do, they prosper.

Have a blessed day friends... your are his bride too!

It took me many years to develop "traditions," and even after 19+ years of marriage and almost 9 years of parenting, I'm still adding and changing traditions! Hope your family has a great time celebrating this season - with cookies or without!

LOL! I have to smile when I see your verse...it reminds me of when I taught my younger two Psalms 1...they couldn't read yet, so I drew little diagrams...we still have it today, and it still makes me smile!
Blessings!
